 The Social Network is an American film by David Fincher, released on 1 October 2010, in North America. The film returns to the creation of social networking Website which name is Facebook. It is the adaptation of the novel The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich, published in 2009. The book was translated by Max Milo's Editions in January 2010 under the title The Return of a loner - The true story of the founder of Facebook.

Storyline

A drunken night in October 2003, Mark Zuckerberg, a student who has just been dumped by his girlfriend, hack the computer system of Harvard University to create a website, a database of all the girls on campus. It displays two photographs side by side and asks the user to vote for the most beautiful. He named the site Facemash. The success is instant: information is spread at the speed of lightning and the site becomes viral, destroying the entire system of Harvard and generating controversy on campus because of its misogyny. Mark is accused of intentionally breached security, reproductive rights and respect for privacy. Yet at this time born what became Facebook. Soon after, Mark creates thefacebook.com, which spread like wildfire from one screen to another first at Harvard, then opens with major universities in the United States, the Ivy League in Silicon Valley, before winning the world...
